The anole genome paper is out in Nature today (although links on Nature’s own page only take you to a list of authors at the present time, I’m assuming this glitch will be fixed shortly). Nature also published a brief commentary highlighting some of the most interesting discoveries from this work. For more coverage of work related to the genome, check out this post and stay tuned to Anole Annals – we’ll have a bunch more genome posts over the next few days.
- Anole Annals is written and edited by scientists who study Anolis lizards. Our goal is to disseminate new scientific research, natural history anecdotes, and a wide range of other anole-related information. To find posts on a particular topic, type a key word into the search box.

As of the morning of 01 September, the Nature.com page finally works. The article is now actually posted, functional, and available. It was fixed either late last night or early this morning.
The Nature iOS app version (for those in iPad land) is still somewhat maimed. Bad links with tables, etc. A real mess of faulty coding. Stick with the website version.
